(CBS4)– Colorado Congressman Joe Neguse helps pass major police reform legislation out of the U.S. House of Representatives. The bill includes banning chokeholds and no-knock warrants in drug cases.
The bill moves onto the U.S. Senate.
A new police accountability law in Colorado is the first in the country to hold officers personally liable for wrongdoing. Gov.Jared Polis signed the bill on Juneteenth, just 16 days after it was introduced.
